By Air: The Kochi International Airport is about 30 km away from the town. There are regular and quite frequent flights from the countries of the Middle East, Sri Lanka and Singapore. The domestic Airport is just adjacent to the International Air base. Making it easier for the passengers.

By Rail: The city of Kochi comprises of as many as three Railway Heads- Ernakulum Junction, Ernakulum town and Cochin Harbour Terminus.

By Road: Both state run as well as private buses connect the city of Kochi to all the other major cities of Kerela regular buses also ply between Kochi and the other cities of the Djoining states like Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore and Mumbai.

Local Transportation in Kochi

Bus: Buses are the choicest modes of travel within the city. The bus service is not only regular but also well connected.there are mainly two kinds of bus services available- the yellow line and the orange line. The bus fares are considerably cheap: Rs. 5 for the first five kilometers and 0.75 for every additional kilometer. The air conditioned buses charge RS.10 for the first 5 km and Rs.2 for every additional kilometer.some of the most important bus stops in Kochi are Kaloor, Aluva, Fort Kochi, Thoppumpaddy, Marine Drive, Vytilla and Thripunithara terminus.

Autorickshaw: Autorickshaw is another important mode of travel in the city. Safe, convenient and widely available, the autorickshaws can easily be got hold of from the bus stands, airport as well as Railway Stations. They usually charge Rs.10 for the first 1.25 km and then RS. 6 for every additional kilometer.

Taxis: Cabs and Taxis are also widely available in Kochi. They have standard charges of Rs.50 for the first 3 km and then Rs.8 for every additional kilometer. However, the taxis also ask for a 20% extra for rides at night.
